Wireless Coverage and Network

Our wireless networks are run off of multiple carriers and you get to decide the plan and the carrier you want!

Verizon (Red):

Using Verizon's network, we have access to over 150,000 macro cell sites along with 40,000+ small cells, we can give you the most reliable connection.

The United States has a total area of 3,809,525 square miles, encompassing 3,532,316 square miles of land and 277,209 square miles of water. Verizon's 4G network covers 2,680,000+ square miles across the United States.

By owning and operating its own fiber-optic cables at about 50% of cell sites, Verizon can rapidly meet changing capacity needs; control upgrades and repairs to fiber cables and electronics; and add more security, control, and reliability to network operations. That’s why in addition to having backup batteries, Verizon has permanent generators at the majority of their macro cell sites (towers) and all of their switch locations, which they are able to refuel during extended power outages. These backup energy sources help keep their network running when commercial power is lost. Verizon maintains battery backup with up to 8 hours of backup power at all macro sites, and designs those sites to support backup power through diesel generators that last between 24-72 hours on a single tank of fuel. For critical coverage sites that do not have permanent generators, they deploy portable generators that can be refueled. And they maintain on-site generator resources for buildings that house critical switching, servers, and computing equipment.

A recap of why we chose to work with Verizon and only Verizon:

  • Backbone reliability and ownership
  • Largest network coverage footprint (different then covering Americans)
  • Macro site backup power
  • Cell tower mesh if there is a fiber outage
